Our new high performance air powered hydroponic systems use homemade hydroponic pumps that are easy to make and provide highly oxygenated nutrient solution to the growing plants and vegetables.
Why use air to pump water when you can just use a water pump? That is a good question and here are a few of the benefits that we have found while growing.
- Costs less money to operate – Using an air pump will cost less money to operate than a water pump.
- Highly oxygenated nutrient solution – The process of pumping water from air automatically aerates the nutrient solution by design. The resulting nutrient solution is further aerated by the air injected with the nutrient solution in the pump head. Then it adds even more oxygen from the falling nutrient solution.
- Smaller grow containers and reservoirs – Air powered irrigation systems can use smaller grow containers and reservoirs.
- Fast Growth and Yields – The highly oxygenated nutrient solution provides rapid growth with lush foliage.
